Dear Dance Project Team Families,
Thank you so much for your energy, dedication, and heart throughout the audition process. We are thrilled to officially welcome you to Season 16 at The Dance Project! It is an honor to have each of you — dancers and families — as part of this journey. We cannot wait to grow together, cheer each other on, and create something truly special this year.
As you view your dancer’s team placement, we want to remind you that placement decisions are made with great care, consideration, and love. Our staff evaluates each dancer across many factors — not just technical skill, but also effort, mindset, consistency, maturity, team dynamics, readiness for challenge, leadership potential, and what each dancer most needs to thrive next season. Every placement is a thoughtful piece of a bigger picture, and every dancer is an important part of that picture.
We also kindly ask that you observe our 72-hour rule — we encourage families to take time to reflect, process, and talk as a family before reaching out with questions or concerns. This time allows emotions to settle and space to consider the long-term value of your dancer’s placement. Trust that we are here for you — and we are always happy to talk after that window if needed.
For our Edge and Edge 2 families, please note that several classes will be combined this year. The structure has been designed with intention to allow dancers to push, lead, and grow alongside each other, and we're incredibly excited about the choreography and collaboration already underway. Big announcements are coming soon, and we can't wait to share what’s ahead!
Your dedicated staff is already hard at work developing choreography, refining schedules, and shaping a season full of artistry, opportunity, and community. We ask that you come into this year with open hearts, trust in the process, and encouragement for one another.
We are one team — and together, we rise.
Season 16 is going to be powerful.
With excitement and gratitude,
The Dance Project Team
